Lil Wayne Fortnite skin revealed, launches on September 12

Lil Wayne is coming to Fortnite on Saturday, Sept. 12, marking the latest rap icon to join an illustrious list already in the game. This announcement follows the Grammy Award winner’s recent tease of this collaboration. We now have our first look at the Lil Wayne Fortnite skin and other cosmetics included.

First look at the Lil Wayne Fortnite skin

The Lil Wayne Fortnite Icon Series collab features two skins and various other cosmetics we’d typically see in a new Festival season. Leakers recently reported that Lil Wayne would have headlined Season 15 before Lil Tecca took his spot.

Now, the rap legend will debut in the Item Shop on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 8 p.m. EDT. Once the shop resets, you will see a more traditional, shirtless Lil Wayne appearance alongside a version with a more formal inspiration.

You will also notice the “YM” insignia sprinkled across these cosmetics, which is the abbreviation of Lil Wayne’s “Young Money” record label. The rapper is also an avid skateboarder, hence the inclusion of a Skateboard Pickaxe and Glider.

Three Fortnite Festival Jam Tracks will also be available in the Item Shop when the collab drops.

Win the Lil Wayne Bundle for free in the Weezy Icon Cup

As with most modern-day Fortnite collabs, Epic Games will host the Weezy Cup to give players the chance to win the Lil Wayne Fortnite skin for free. The tournament will include Zero Build and Battle Royale modes, offering the same prizes to participants in both.

Those who earn at least eight points in the Weezy Icon Cup will receive a Lil Wayne Emoticon. Competitors who place atop their respective region will win the Lil Wayne Outfit and Back Bling.

The tournament goes live on Saturday, Sept. 12, the same day the Lil Wayne crossover arrives in the Item Shop.
