Pokémon Brings Back Espeon & Umbreon With 11 New Releases in 2027

Two of the most beloved Pokémon from the Gen 2 era are returning in 2027, as Espeon and Umbreon will be featured on eleven new releases that are set to launch early next year.

The original three Eeveelutions from Pokémon Red & Blue had the misfortune of being outmatched by numerous other Pokémon in the Kanto region, owing to the fact that they shared types with top-tier competitive contenders. Pokémon Gold & Silver gave Eevee a boost through two new evolutions, with Espeon being a Psychic-type and Umbreon belonging to the brand-new Dark-type.

Ultra PRO Is Releasing 11 New Espeon & Umbreon Items

Espeon and Umbreon will be center stage in 2027, as Ultra PRO is releasing a line of Pokémon Trading Card Game merchandise featuring the duo. As reported by PokéBeach, eleven items featuring the Psychic/Dark-type duo will be released in the first quarter of 2027, with no set release date yet.

The Espeon and Umbreon items include a Tower Deck Box with an extra shelf to carry tokens/dice, foil playmats, 9-pocket and 12-pocket premium zipper card binders, and sets of 105 Elite Card Sleeves. There's also a die-cut playmat featuring Espeon, Umbreon, and Eevee standing in the forest beneath the moon. The Espeon-specific items are light pink and purple, while the Umbreon gear is black and gold, matching each Pokémon's aesthetics in the games.

Espeon & Umbreon Are The Highlights Of Gen 2

2027 is going to be a huge year for the Pokémon franchise, as that's when the highly-anticipated Pokémon Winds & Waves are launching for the Nintendo Switch 2. While the franchise's 30th anniversary will have concluded by then, the Pokémon merchandise train is never-ending, and there's always more gear ready to hit store shelves.

Espeon and Umbreon are popular choices for new merchandise, owing to their amazing designs that compliment the other. The Ultra PRO gear isn't the first time the Gen 2 duo have appeared on Pokémon items, and it won't be the last, as people still adore Eevee's two best evolutions.
