Primetime Emmy Awards 2026: Full Winners List [LIVE UPDATES]

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards are taking place on Monday, September 14, beginning at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET / 12 a.m. CET and hosted by Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay. As is tradition, the 2026 Emmys ceremony will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

HBO's hit medical procedural The Pitt leads this year's field with 25 nominations, followed closely by (also HBO's) dark comedy drama Hacks with 24. Apple TV's Widow's Bay earned 19 nominations, while Pluribus and Beef received 18 and 16, respectively. Those totals cover the entire 78th Emmy Awards rather than only the categories being presented during the September 14 broadcast. Many awards were already handed out on September 6, when Widow's Bay won eight Emmys, The Pitt and Pluribus collected four apiece, Beef won three, and Hacks picked up one.

As a result, only the nominations still being decided during the main ceremony on September 14 are included below.

The 78th Emmy Awards clocked in at just under three hours, officially wrapping up at 10:58 p.m. ET. Hargitay delivered her closing remarks shortly after the night's top honors were announced, with The Pitt and Widow's Bay winning the Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Comedy Series awards, respectively.
