Going to the Moon sounds like quite an adventure. Going there to collect questionable lunar slime for a trillionaire corporation sounds like a slightly less appealing career path.
Together: Moon Escape is now available on Xbox Series X|S, inviting two players to work together, solve puzzles and hopefully make it home in one piece.
Priced at £8.39, this two-player puzzle adventure puts cooperation at the centre of everything, with the story and mechanics designed around the need to communicate.

Welcome To The Moon
You and your partner play as Moonfishers, specialised astronauts sent to the lunar surface by Moontella. The job sounds straightforward enough: extract rare lunar slimes and send them back to Earth for use by high-end restaurants. Apparently, even the richest corporations have to get their ingredients from somewhere.
Unfortunately, the simple job quickly goes sideways, leaving the two astronauts with a rather more important objective – figuring out how to escape.
Together: Moon Escape is designed specifically for two players, with puzzles that require cooperation rather than simply having another character running around beside you. The game takes an asymmetric approach to its challenges, meaning communication is essential as you work out what your partner can see, what they can do and how the two pieces of the puzzle fit together.
And judging by the game’s premise, there should be plenty of opportunities for things to go spectacularly wrong.
Two Players, One Way Home
The best co-op games are often the ones that give you something to talk about long after you’ve put the controller down, something that we have found with the We Were Here series, and Together: Moon Escape certainly seems keen to encourage that.
At £8.39, this is a relatively inexpensive lunar excursion, but you’ll need another player to get the most from it. So grab a friend, family member or unfortunate gaming partner and prepare to discover just how complicated escaping the Moon can become when neither of you has any idea what the other one is doing.
The Moonfishers’ shift has gone badly enough already. Getting home is now very much a team effort.
Together: Moon Escape is available for play on Xbox Series X|S, all thanks to an Xbox Store download.
